Can I Remotely Lock My Child's Phone?
Most children these days have their own phones at a very young age. Although this has some advantages, parents should not be aware of the possible risks that their children may encounter when using mobile phones.
Are Phones Safe for Kids?
Technically, phones help kids in specific ways. But there are some risks and dangers that should not be overlooked. Kids may develop a "phone addiction" if they are not guided on how to properly use their phones. Here we listed some of the effects and possible dangers that your child might encounter due to phone addiction.
Sleep Deprivation - Getting enough sleep helps us function throughout the day. But if a person, especially a child experiences sleep deprivation, it would take a toll on his/her health.
Social Isolation - As I’ve mentioned above, kids who are hooked on their phones would rather stay inside the house than socialize with their friends. At a young age, kids need to socialize with others in order to improve their cognitive skills.
Cyberbullying - Cyberbullies will mock even your tiniest imperfection. And in some cases, cyberbullying victims will torture themselves and will eventually take their life. It’s sad and tragic, but these instances do happen in real life.
Child Molestation - Sex predators are all over the web. These pedophiles are just waiting for vulnerable prey, and that prey could be your child. Kids are too innocent to spot a pedophile in disguise. So better take action now, don’t wait for your child to be harmed.
These are just some effects and scenarios that would possibly happen if you don’t immediately control your child’s mobile screen time consumption.
